An Illustrator & designer with a love for animals and Nature

I'm Amanda, an illustrator and designer based out of my home studio in Harwinton, Connecticut. I am inspired by the my lively New England backyard, with densely forested trees that are home to a variety of creatures. Each season provides a host of new surprises that I am lucky to watch out of my studio window. I moved to Georgia for many years to pursue a degree in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design and found myself missing home. But the change in scenery gave me time to explore my new backyard, a new region of flora and fauna at my finger tips. It was then that I realized how unique and resilient the natural world truly is, capable of adapting to the harshest climates but susceptible to the madness of mankind.

After living in Connecticut, Georgia, and the south of France,  I wanted to take more time exploring the natural diversity of the world and how human error can alter species and effect biodiversity.  I spend a great deal of my time researching and looking for reference photos, or exploring the natural world to take my own. I have more ideas than I can ever hope to bring to life on paper.
